SALISBURY, Md. - A fraternity suspended for hazing at Salisbury University says it has eliminated the pledging process for members. The new policy affects all of Sigma Alpha Epsilon's 226 chapters and 15 colonies nationwide.
Officials say they will go through a bidding process as a means of getting into the fraternity. The measure comes after a hazing case involving the Fraternity at Salisbury University.
A former student reportedly claimed he was forced to stand in trash cans filled waist-deep with ice during spring semester of 2012. The Salisbury chapter has been suspended through 2015.
