UPDATE: Human Remains Found In Worcester County

WORCESTER CO., Md - More details have been released, after Police say human remains were found on Sunday, in Worcester County.

The Worcester County Bureau of Investigations says they are looking into a body that was found by a waterman around 5:45 PM, while working near Bay Landing Road in South Point. The waterman reportedly called 911, and Maryland State Police say they responded to find a body, in an extreme state of decomposition, in the water. The Worcester County Bureau of investigation and the Worcester County Sheriff's Office also arrived on scene, and started an investigation, along with recovery efforts.

Police say at this time, the identity of the body, and cause of death have not been determined. The body is now at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, for further examination.

The Sheriff's Office, MSP, WCBI, and the Maryland Natural Resource Police say they have been looking into the disappearance of 77-year-old Helen David, of South Point, since Memorial Day 2013. At this time, it is unknown if the recovered body, is David, as the Medical Examiner is working on the identity of the person, according to officials. Police say at this time, the missing person case for Helen David will remain open.
