WICOMICO CO., Md. - Hundreds of people in our area are affected each year by someone who has taken their own life.
Even more staggering? The number of people considering suicide.
The Life Crisis Center in Salisbury says they receive about 3,000 calls a year to help people through their problems.
Local law enforcement are encouraging everyone to get involved.
"I would challenge other coaches, other police officers, just friends, people that you would associate with to listen to the people that are most important to you and understand what's going on in their life," said Sgt. David Owens of WBI.
If you or someone you know is going through a mental health crisis or is struggling with thoughts of suicide, call the Life Crisis Center at 410-749-HELP.
