16th Annual WMDT 47/Cat Country Cares For St. Jude Radiothon

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Thursday morning kicks off the 16th Annual WMDT 47/Cat Country Cares For St. Jude Radiothon. Right now, it takes almost $2 Million a day to operate St. Jude Children's Research hospital. That's why we need your help now more than ever. You can call in your donation between 6AM and 6PM Thursday and Friday to 1-800-699-2520.

Thursday, volunteer Jack Pavlat shared why this cause means so much to him, "It's important to me because my daughter was a St. Jude's patient. She fought cancer for 81/2 years before the cancer finally won. But, I got those 8/12 years because of the research that's done in Memphis, Tennessee at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital."

WMDT's Jarred Hill will help Cat Country's Brian Hall kick off the radiothon Thursday morning. Kyle Jones will be there from 10 to 12 Thursday and Kody Leibowitz will be there from 6AM - 10AM on Friday, Daniel Johnson will be there from 10-11 on Friday and Jemie Lee from 11-12 on Friday.

You can make your donation now by clicking here. For more information from Cat Country, click here.

Remember, just a little, can make a big difference.

*** Cat Country tells us that E.J. Foxx and Jonny Walker will be "roof high" Friday morning from 7-9AM at the Roof Center in Salisbury. They are planning to stay up there until they raise a good amount of money! Complimentary breakfast will be served, so head on our and bring your donation.***
