GOOD MORNING DELMARVA - Bowl for Kids' Sake is back with a popular returning St. Patty's theme. We extend our sincerest gratitude to this year's presenting sponsor, Delmarva Power. The event is also receiving support this year from Clear Channel Communications and the Delmarva Group.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake (BBBSGC) is an organization that offers programs to serve disadvantaged children, including one-to-one mentoring, empowerment workshops, and enrichment activities. BBBSGC also provides training workshops for adults working with children to the general public.
As a non-profit organization, BBBSGC depends on the gracious donations of people like you to continue to enrich children's lives and lay down the foundation for a better future. The funds raised from this event will go toward continuing the services we offer to local communities with at-risk youths. With a greater number of participants in the Bowl For Kids' Sake campaign, we can grow our services to more areas and positively impact more children.
The times and locations for this important event are on March 16th from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Ocean City Lanes, 115 72nd St., Ocean City, MD 21842, and in Salisbury on March 19th from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. at Cherokee Lanes, 1524 Salisbury Blvd.
The theme for both events is St. Patty's Day! Come out to bowl in your most outrageous Irish frock. Prizes will be given out to the most festive dressed, highest funds raised by an individual bowler, and highest score bowled by one person from the event. Participants will also receive pizza, drinks, two hours of bowling, shoe rentals, and a t-shirt! Just to add to the fun, there will also be trivia, games, and prizes will be handed out to those winners. You must register to be able to participate, so don't wait! Come out on to either location and have a blast getting involved with your community, all the while supporting a great cause!
To participate in the Bowl For Kids' Sake event, sign up online at www.biglittle.org/BFKSES2014 with six team members. Each bowler is asked to raise a goal of $50, so get family, friends, and co-workers involved. Ask a few people you know to sponsor you with $5-$10 to easily meet and even surpass that goal! Call our office at 410-543-2447 with any questions about the sign-up process or the fundraiser.
