Enjoying The Calm Before The Storm, At The Beach

Posted: Updated:

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Weeks from spring, and Monday, we're expecting some of the heaviest snow of the season to hit Delmarva, but Sunday, the sun and warm weather had folks out in Rehoboth Beach, taking advantage of the calm before the storm, soaking up some sun before tomorrow's potentially significant snow fall.

With that weather coming, it's once more unto the breach for road crews.

DelDot is staggering call times, with all Kent County crews reporting at midnight and three managers in Sussex coming in at 1 am.

Because the storm is expected to start off as rain, DelDot says they won't be pre-treating roads, because the salt brine would wash off with the rain.

The Maryland State Highway Administration says they're monitoring conditions, and are reminding drivers to keep an eye out for the possibility of ice.
