NEW CASTLE, Del. - The Chief Medical Examiner in Delaware has been suspended. According to the Department of Health and Social Services, starting on February 25th, Dr. Richard Callery, was suspended with pay, until the internal human resources investigation is completed.
At this time, Hal Brown, Deputy Director of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, is in charge of the office's operations.
The investigation into the drug evidence tampering within the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner at the Controlled Substances Laboratory is continuing by Delaware State Police.
