Capital School District Extends School Day 20 Minutes

DOVER, Del. - Kids in Dover will be spending a little more time in the classroom for the next few months, as schools try to make up for snow days.

Starting Monday March 3rd, the Capital School District is extending each school day by 20 minutes for K-12 students.

See new dismissal times below.

All Capital Elementary Schools - 3:30 p.m.

William Henry Middle School - 2:40 p.m. 

Central Middle School - 2:42 p.m. 

Dover High School - 3:30 p.m.

Kent County Community School - 3:10 p.m.

Kent County Alternative School - 2:40 p.m.

It is possible for the Department of Education to forgive days missed due to weather, but there has been no word yet about whether or not it will happen.
