MARYLAND - The Daily Record has released its 2014 list of Maryland's Top 100 Woman, and two local women have made the line up. Since 1996, the magazine has been recognized women with outstanding achievements, including professional accomplishments, community leaderships, and mentoring. From 370 women who were nominated, a panel of judges narrowed it down to the final 100.
University of Maryland Eastern Shore president, Dr. Juliette Bell, has been selected. Bell said "I strive every day to be a role model and mentor to the next generation of young leaders for our state and nation. I am humbled to be counted among this stellar group of phenomenal women leaders."
Also named on the list was Peninsula Regional Medical Center's Executive Vice President/COO, Cindy Lunsford. Currently, Lunsford is responsible for day to day operations of the hospital.
The awards are set to be presented at a cocktail reception on Monday, May 5th, at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore. All of the winners will be profiled in the May 9th issue of the The Daily Record Magazine and available online.
