Posted: Updated:

HARRINGTON, Del. - A teenager has been charged, after allegedly bringing a knife onto a school bus in Kent County.

The Harrington Police Department says on Monday, they were called to WT Chipman Middle School, after a bus driver found a knife on the bus. According to the report, the knife, described as a small kitchen knife, was found in a seat, after all of the students had already left the bus.

Police say an investigation with school officials determined who brought the knife, and that that 13-year-old male student was then taken into custody. He was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon along with possession of a weapon in a safe school zone, and released on bond to the custody of his parents.
