MILFORD, Del. - Police are looking for a Dover man, after he apparently failed to appear in court, in connection to a domestic dispute.

Milford Police say on February 16th they responded to the Mispillion Apartment Complex where 19-year-old Curtis Baines Jr., and a 19-year-old female were involved in a verbal dispute that turned physical. Police say Baines grabbed the woman by her throat, and started strangling her, before hitting her several times in the head. According to the report, when she tried to leave, Baines grabbed the female by her hair.

All of this reportedly happened infront of a 4 month old child; the child was not injured during this incident. The female victim was suffered minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.

On February 17th, Baines, who had fled before Police arrived the night before, turned himself in to Milford Police. He was charged with strangulation, unlawful imprisonment 2nd degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and offensive touching, then released on bond.

Police are now looking for him, after he reportedly didn't show up for a scheduled court appearance related to the case. Baines Jr., is described as a 6' 1" tall black male, weighting 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He reportedly frequents Milford and Dover areas. Anyone with information on Baines' whereabouts is asked to contact Milford Police at 302-422-8081.
