ODESSA, Del. - A Bear man is behind bars after he allegedly attempted to hire a hit-man to harm two attorneys, near Odessa. Delaware State Police Detectives say they started their investigation on Wednesday, after a concerned citizen called them, saying that 28-years-old David Yarborough wanted him to find someone to hurt a couple of people.

A Detective then reportedly posed as a hit-man, and called Yarborough, to try and get more information about what he was apparently looking to have done. Police say during that conversation, Yarborough confirmed that he wanted a subject killed, but then changed his mind, saying that he only wanted the person seriously injured so that they could never walk again. An amount of money was agreed on between Yarborough and the undercover detective, and it was set that he would make half the payment before the hit was done, and the other half after.

On Thursday, the previous arrangements were confirmed, and a meeting location was established, according to the report. Police say that Yarborough told them that one of the intended victims was an attorney that represented him recently on some criminal charges. Yarborough reportedly told Police that he had been watching the victim's movements, and that he left his home in the morning, and came back at night.

At around 3:20 PM, the undercover detective says they met with Yarborough at Wawa on Middletown Odessa Road, and exchanged money, along with information on the intended target. Police say Yarborough also gave the Detective another attorney's name and address, who he also wanted harmed. This intended victim was found to be a prosecutor at the Attorney General's Office. According to the report, Yarborough then rode with the undercover detective to the two intended victims' homes, before heading back to the Wawa, where the Delaware State Police Special Operations Team took him into custody.

Yarborough was charged with two counts of 1st degree attempted assault, 2 counts of criminal solicitation, and 2 counts of stalking. He is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $130,000 cash bond.
