Giant Announces Recall Of El Monterey Steak & Cheese Taquitos

MARYLAND - A local grocery store has announced a they are pulling a brand of taquitos off the shelves, after meat products were recalled.

Giant Food says Ruiz Food Products are voluntarily recalling their El Monterey Steak & Cheese Taquitos after the USDA announced a recall of the Rancho Feeding Corporation meat products, because they were made without all the required inspections.

The following product is included in this recall:

· El Monterey Steak & Cheese Taquitos, 28 oz., UPC 7100740389, with best if used by dates of:
o May 5, 2014
o May 17, 2014
o May 20, 2014
o May 22, 2014
o June 7, 2014
o October 8, 2014
o October 11, 2014
o October 16, 2014
o October 21, 2014
o December 12, 2014

Giant says they have not received any reports of illnesses at this time. Customer who have bought the product should throw it away, and bring their purchase receipt back to Giant, for a full refund.
