Delawareans Can Support Veterans On State Income Tax Returns

Posted: Updated:

DELAWARE - For the first time ever, Delawareans can support veterans on their state income tax returns.

According to reports, taxpayers will see a tax checkoff box labeled item "P" on Schedule III of the return, where they can donate to the Delaware Veterans Trust Fund. The fund was reportedly signed into law in September 2013  to raise funds to provide assistance to honorably discharged veterans residing in Delaware.

Officials say 100 percent of the tax-deductible contributions will go directly to the veterans and their families. For more information, call 302-739-2794.
