Environmental Changes Up For Discussion In Salisbury

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Some environmental changes are up for discussion in Salisbury.

In Tuesday's city council work session, officials say they hope to build on some of the energy-efficient changes the city has made over the past few years, which includes switching traffic lights and street lights to LED lights.

Now, council members hope to increase planting, which could mean 100,000 new trees in the city over the next 10 years. They are also discussing exchanging hybrid and electric vehicles with some of the current police cars, and officials say this topic could come to council in the next few weeks.
