Legislators Push For Dating Violence Awareness In Maryland

Posted: Updated:

MARYLAND - Legislators are pushing for dating violence awareness in Maryland.

A new bill announced today by Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger, called the Dating Violence Awareness Bill, would create an annual National One Love Day in honor of Yeardley Love. Yeardley is reportedly a Baltimore-area native, and was the victim of tragic relationship violence while in college at the University of Virginia.

Legislators, along with the Love Family, say they hope this can prevent future tragedies.
