UPDATE: Morris Mill Water Tower Project Moving Forward

Posted: Updated:

WICOMICO CO., Md. - Plans to fix a water contamination issue affecting the Morris Mill Community are clearing up.

Wicomico County council voted to move the water tower project forward, which would connect residents with TCE contamination in their water to public water. The project is expected to cost $8 million. The county accepted close to 2.5 million dollars, a $1.5 million grant and a $900,000 loan.

Health department investigators confirmed well-water in the community was tainted with the hazardous chemical called trichloroethylene back in October 2012.
