Milton Registered Sex Offender Ordinance Still Up For Discussion

Posted: Updated:

MILTON, Del. - The town of Milton is still considering whether or not to change an ordinance addressing where registered sex offenders can live within town limits.

As of now, sex offenders reportedly cannot live within 3,000 feet of schools and playgrounds, but some town officials are concerned that the ordinance makes it nearly impossible for registered sex offenders to live in Milton, which could be deemed unconstitutional.

Officials tell WMDT a hearing is scheduled for later this month. An exact date still has not been reported, but we will update that information as soon as it becomes available.
