SOMERSET CO., Md. - The craft beer boom could expand on the Shore.
Maryland lawmakers are considering allowing the micro brew industry to expand to Somerset County. The area is one of the only in the state without a license.
WMDT spoke with Del. Mike McDermott (R-Dist. 38B) who says while there's no particular brewery in mind yet, but the interest is still there.
"You've got areas in Somerset County that are really prime for this type of this facility to come in this type of market place that people can come in sample," said McDermott.
McDermott says two cities that could benefit from a micro brewery: Princess Anne and Crisfield.
