Crash In Easton Injures Two, MSP Investigate

EASTON, Md. - Maryland State Police say they are investigating a crash in Easton that happened early this morning.

According to reports, around 4:30 AM, troopers from the Maryland State Police Easton Barrack to the area of Route 307 and Mt. Zion Rd, in Hurlock, in reference to a motor vehicle collision.  Troopers say the investigation revealed Shawn Williams, 39, of Federalsburg, was operating a 2012 Honda Accord traveling southbound on Route 307.  while Kristopher Dukes, 24, of Rhodesdale, was operating a 2010 Mack cargo truck traveling northbound on Route 307.  Williams reportedly crossed the center line into the northbound lane and struck Dukes' vehicle on the passenger side, causing severe damage to the vehicle.  Troopers say Dukes' vehicle came to rest along the northbound guardrail, and as a result of the collision, caught on fire. 

Troopers say Williams' was flown to Peninsula Regional Medical Center and Dukes was transported to Dorchester General Hospital. Reports say charges are still pending on the investigation.
