Martin's Agent Says Player 'Vindicated' By Report

Posted: Updated:

NEW YORK (AP) - The agent for Miami Dolphins player Jonathan Martin says he feels "vindicated" by today's report that says Martin was bullied by three of his Miami Dolphins teammates.
The report was ordered by the NFL after Martin left the team in October, saying he'd been bullied.
According to the report, teammate Richie Incognito was joined by two other Dolphins offensive linemen in bullying Martin. And it says at least one other player and an assistant trainer were also targets of vicious taunts and insults.
The report from lawyer Ted Wells says players John Jerry and Mike Pouncey followed Incognito's lead in harassing Martin -- accusing him of not being black enough, threatening to rape his sister and calling him a long list of slurs. It chronicled Martin's struggle to deal with the harassment, including emotional text exchanges with his parents.
Martin's agent, Kenneth Zuckerman, says Martin "feels a great sense of relief" over the report. He says Martin "loves football and is eager to get back on the field, regardless of what team he plays for."
But an attorney for Incognito released a statement saying the report is full of errors. He says Martin "was never bullied by Richie Incognito or any other member of the Dolphins' offensive line."
