Delmar Drug Dealer Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison

SALISBURY, Md. - A Wicomico County heroin dealer, will now spend a decade behind bars.

On Thursday, 47-year-old Joseph Waltemeyer Sr., of Delmar, was convicted of one count of possession with the intent to distribute heroin. The judge then sentenced Waltemeyer to ten years of active incarceration in the Maryland Division of Corrections.

Waltemeyer had pending charges from Salisbury Police Department's Safe Streets Unit and the Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit, which lead to his arrest on October 8th, 2013. A search of his vehicle reportedly revealed 39 separate baggies of heroin, and Waltemeyer later admitted to investigators that he planned to sell.
