SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man has been arrested after allegedly pulling a gun during a purchase.

Salisbury Police say on Tuesday, just before 11:00 AM, they were called to E. Lincoln Avenue, for reports of an armed robbery. Once on scene, they learned that the victim was attempting to sell clothing items to the suspect, when the victim went into the suspect's home.

Police say once inside the suspect pulled out a handgun, and demanded the clothing items from the victim. According to the report, two other suspects then confronted the victim, and took the bag of clothing and escorted him out of the home. Police say their investigation identified the suspect as 19-year-old Marquis Ballard.

On Tuesday, the Maryland State Apprehension Team located Ballard, at the E. Lincoln Avenue home, and arrested him. A search of the home reportedly turned up the handgun. Ballard is charged with armed robbery, robbery, 1st and 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, conspiracy to commit robbery, firearm used in crime of violence, minor in possession of firearm, and theft less $1,000.

Police say at this time, they have not identified the two other suspects, but their investigation is on-going. Anyone with information is asked to contact Salisbury Police at 410-548-3165 or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776.
