Sussex County Man Saved From Collapsed Trench

SEAFORD, Del. - A Sussex County construction worker is alive, after being stuck in a collapsed trench in Seaford this morning.

Officials say the man was part of a crew working on underground utilities outside of a home that was under construction.  According to reports, the victim had at one point been covered up to his chest in dirt and sand.

The man was taken to a local hospital, and is being treated for possible back and neck injuries, as well as a possible collapsed lung.
