PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - A Crisfield man has been arrested, after allegedly stealing a large amount of car parts from a Westover property.

Maryland State Police - Princess Anne say on January 27th they started an investigation, after a man came to them stating that between $5,000 and $6,000 worth of car parts were stolen from his Virginia Bowland Road property.

According to the report, the thefts lead the man to put a GPS tracking unit inside an engine block and about a week later it was stolen. He says he then traced the unit to A&B Salvage in New Church, Virginia. Police say the victim contacted A&B Salvage who confirmed they had the motor. An investigation reportedly showed that 42-year-old Curtis Tyler brought the motor to the scrap yard.

Police say Tyler has an extensive history of theft, and is currently on parole for similar charges. On January 31st, he was arrested, charged with 4th degree burglary and theft: $1,000 to under $10,000, and released after posting bond.
