EASTON, Md. - Police say they arrested an Easton woman, after a hit and run accident. Easton Police say they were called to Route 50 Westbound, at Bartlett Avenue, for an accident where one of the vehicles had fled the scene. A witness had apparently followed that vehicle, a 1994 Chrysler Le Baron driven by 58-year-old JoAnne Fox, to a home on Bartlett Avenue.

According to the report, a 2002 Ford F-150 was driving Westbound on Route 50 near Bartlett Avenue, when Fox turned into his path, disabling the truck and knocking down a stop sign, before fleeing. Police say Fox is at fault for the accident, and that they found evidence that she had been drinking alcoholic beverages and driving. No one was injured in the accident.

Fox was arrest and charged with several traffic violations, along with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, negligent driving, reckless driving, driving in violation of an alcohol restriction, violating license restriction, failure to yield right of way on left turn, failure to control vehicle speed to avoid collision, failure of driver to report vehicle damage to nearest police, failure of vehicle driver involved in accident to furnish required identification and license information, failure to return to and remain at scene of accident involving attended vehicle damage and/or property damage, and failure to stop after accident involving damage to attend vehicle and/or property. Fox was later released on bond.
