School Officials Make Appeal For Bennett Middle Construction Funds

Posted: Updated:

FRUITLAND, Md. - The new Bennett Middle School is still on track to open for the 2015-2016 school year.

We're told District Superintendent John Fredericksen made an appeal to the board of public works in Annapolis Wednesday, to get the full $10.2 million in funding. That's $2.6 million more than the recommended $7.6 million.

We're told the county expects to get an answer within the next three months.

Fredericksen also asked for additional funding for East Salisbury Elementary, Wicomico Middle School, Chipman Elementary and Delmar Elementary.
