WICOMICO CO., Md. - Most of us remember professional days as kids where only teachers had to go to school.
The off-days are usually on Mondays, but one local school district plans to have them right in the middle of the week on Hump Day.
Wicomico County Schools are proposing to have four of five professional days on Wednesdays next year. The other: the Tuesday after Martin Luther King Day.
WMDT asked parents what they though of the potential change.
"I think it disrupts instruction in school and I think teachers have too much time off during the school year," said Nancy Winebrenner of Nanticoke, Md.
"Keep it on a weekend or like a Monday, because it's easier for parents to deal with [our children being off then]," said Martin Blakeney of Salisbury, Md.
School officials tells us the public comment period is over and a decision could be made this month.
