Four Arrested On Drug Charges In Worcester County

SNOW HILL, Md. - A large drug bust in Worcester County lead to four arrests.

On January 30th and 31st, Members of the Criminal Enforcement Team executed three search and seizure warrants simultaneously in Pocomoke, and a fourth in Bishopville. According to the report, in all 926 grams of marijuana, 12 grams of crack cocaine, 27 individual bags of heroine, and two tablets of ecstasy were recovered, along with an assault pistol, a .38 caliber revolver, and a hi point .40 caliber carbine.

Those four arrests were 22-year-old Davonte Purnell, of Pocomoke, 20-year-old Marcus Cropper, of Pocomoke, 46-year-old Eric Cropper, of Pocomoke, and 31-year-old Clement Johnson, of Bishopville.

Purnell was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of assault pistol, possession of an assault pistol, possession of a high capacity magazine, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, and felon in possession of a firearm. He is being held at the Worcester County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Both Croppers were charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. Each are being held on a $50,000 bond at the Worcester County Jail.

Johnson was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of ecstasy/MDMA, possession of drug paraphernalia, 2 counts of possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a stolen firearm. He is being held at the Worcester County Jail on $125,000 bond.
