Milton Council To Weigh Where Sex Offenders Can Live

MILTON, Del. - The town of Milton, Delaware is considering whether or not to change an ordinance addressing where registered sex offenders can live within town limits.

As of now, sex offenders cannot live within 3,000 feet of schools and playgrounds in Milton.  Town officials are now concerned the restrictions make it nearly impossible for registered sex offenders to live in Milton, which could be deemed unconstitutional.

The mayor and council are set to discuss when a public hearing will be scheduled Monday night.
