MD Legislators Consider Raw Milk Bill

MARYALND - You've heard the phrase "straight from the horses mouth," well what about buying milk straight from the cow's udder?

A proposed law in Maryland would make it possible for people to buy raw milk within the state, but you'd have to own part of the cow.

This bill exempts the sale of raw milk and raw milk products from regulations if the consumer, through a written contract, becomes part owner of the animal or herd that produces the raw milk

This doesn't apply to restaurants, retail, or other sources that are not the direct consumer.
