Delaware State Police Ask Drivers To Be Safe In Winter Weather

Posted: Updated:

DELAWARE - Police in Delaware are reminding motorists to be careful on the roadways on Monday, as the weather could change quickly, in Northern Delaware.

Delaware State Police say drivers should be using extreme caution when out and about, because weather conditions could change rapidly over the course of the day. Roads may become slipper, and covered with snow, and drivers may experience limited visibilities.

Troopers urge motorists to use extra caution when approaching intersections, off ramps, bridges, and overpasses. Officials are asking drivers to avoid unnecessary travel, and to lower their speeds on highways and secondary roads.

Those who must drive are reminded by officials to use extreme caution and be aware of these conditions, allow extra time to reach your destination, allow extra space between vehicles, and keep vehicle headlights on.
