The First State Heritage Park Kicks Off Black History Month

DOVER, Md. - The First State Heritage Park is kicking off Black History Month with a day full of activities Saturday, at the "First Saturday in the First State."

All of the activities are free, and the day starts at 10 a.m. with Folk Art at the Biggs Museum of American Art. There's also tile painting workshop at 11 a.m., guided tours of an Underground Railroad exhibit, and a look at Rosedale Beach - a popular waterfront destination for African Americans and famous black performers.
