UPDATE: No Injuries After Big Rig Crash In Bridgeville

Posted: Updated:

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. - Route 13 has re-opened after a two vehicle crash, involving a tractor trailer in Bridgeville.

It happened at the intersection of Rt. 404 (Newton Road) and Route 13 (Sussex Highway). Delaware State Police say a tractor trailer hit a light pole and clipped a pick-up truck as it was jackknifing.

The two Southbound lanes of Route 13 have been re-opened, but one turn lane of Newton Road remains closed at this time. No one was injured in the incident.

Delmarva Power and Electric have since replaced the light pole, and DNREC were on scene cleaning up the approximately 100 gallons of diesel fuel that spilled, according to authorities.
