Building Height Set To Be Discussed In Sussex County

Posted: Updated:

SUSSEX CO., Del. - The height of Sussex County buildings is set to be discussed at Tuesday's County Council meeting.

Currently, the law allows "public and semi-public or public service buildings" to be built up to 60 feet, but a proposed revision to the ordinance would modify county law to only allow government buildings, hospitals, institutions and schools to be built to a maximum height of 60 feet.  Churches and temples would be erected to a height of no more than 75 feet.  Other buildings would have a 42 foot height cap.
