BOWERS BEACH, Del. - A dredging project at South Bowers Beach begins.

According to DNREC, the project involves dredging approximately 9 million gallons of material from the federal navigation channel in the river. DNREC says it will improve safety and navigable access of the Murderkill River and nourish the eroding shoreline at South Bowers Beach.
