SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man is behind bars on attempted murder charges, after apparently assaulting his wife with a house fan.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says 63-year-old Stuart Joudrey got into a verbal argument with his wife, on Saturday, at their Santa Fe Drive home, that then turn physical when Joudrey assaulted her with an oscillating fan in her leg.

According to the report, during the argument, Joudrey made statements saying that he would burn down the house with her inside. On Sunday, when Deputies arrived, they say they found that Joudrey had attempted to start a fire in the home, by lighting bedding on fire.

Joudrey was arrested, and charged with attempted murder, 1st degree assault, reckless endangerment, 1st degree arson, and threats of arson. He is being held at the Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
