BERLIN, MD - Maryland State Police arrested 56-year-old John Coiner for a reported domestic issue involving a firearm.
According to police, Joiner and his brother, who lives with him in their Griffin Road Home, got into an argument. Coiner reportedly pointed a .22 caliber rifle in the direction of his brother and fired a single shot.
The victim, who was not injured, called 911. Police say they found a fired, empty .22 caliber shell casing on the living room floor.
John Coiner was charged with 1st degree assault and reckless endangerment. Coiner is being held on a $50,000 bond.
