SNOW HILL, Md. - The Worcester County Sheriff's Office says a traffic stop in Snow Hill yesterday led to a drug arrest.

According to reports, at approximately 8:30 AM, deputies observed two vehicles traveling south on Route 113 in the area of Route 12 in Snow Hill. They were reportedly driving 79 miles per hour in a posted 55 mile per hour zone. Both were reportedly pulled over.

Deputies say an odor of marijuana was smelled coming from one vehicle driven by Traye Mcpherson, 19, of Hempstead, New York. A passenger, Shanice Pierre, 20, also of Hempstead, New York was also reportedly in the car. Deputies say they located a zip lock bag of marijuana in the glove box of the vehicle, and Pierre admitted that it was hers.

Deputies say Pierre was charged with possession of marijuana less than 10 grams and was released on a criminal citation. Mcpherson was reportedly issued a traffic citation for going 79 in a 55 mile per hour zone.
