WORCESTER CO., Md. - A Whaleyville man was charged after he apparently took a vehicle from his job, and drove it with a suspended license.
Maryland State Police say on Tuesday at around 10:00 PM, a Trooper was on patrol, looking for stranded drivers in the snow storm, when he noticed a vehicle in a ditch on Route 610 at Donoway Road. The driver, 29-year-old Jeffery Bradley, had apparently lost control because of the heavy snow fall, and became disabled in a ditch.
According to the report, while the Trooper was speaking with Bradley, the Trooper apparently smelled alcohol, and found out that Bradley's driving privileged was suspended.
Police say they alerted the owner of the vehicle, Bradley's employer, who arrived on scene, and told them that Bradley had taken the vehicle without permission from the business.
Bradley was arrested and charged with un-authorized use of motor vehicle, DUI, and driving while suspended. He reportedly refused to submit to a breath test. Bradley was later released after seeing the District Court Commissioner.
