Two Arrested On Theft And Conspiracy Charges In Milford

MILFORD, Del. - Two people have been charged, in connection with stealing from a local business.

Milford Police say on January 17th, they arrested 50-year-old Cheryl Blackwell of Greenwood, and Jeffery Barnett Jr., of Milford, after a week long investigation.

According to the report, Blackwell and Barnett both held management positions at the Save A Lot grocery store, and during November and December 2013, they turned in forged deposit slips, for the store bank account, on numerous occasions.

Police say in total the two stole over $22,000 from the business. Each were charged with theft $1,500 or greater, conspiracy 2nd degree, and falsifying business records to make or cause false entry. Blackwell and Barnett were each released on bond.
