Teenager Charged As An Adult After Salisbury Shooting

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury teenager was arrested, after allegedly discharging a gun and hitting two people inside of a vehicle. Salisbury Police say on Monday night, they responded to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where two juveniles were being treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

An investigation showed that three juveniles were sitting in a vehicle of Thirsty's Convenience Store, on Snow Hill Road, when one pulled out a handgun from his waistband. According to the report, as he was handling the gun, a round was discharged, hitting the two other people inside the vehicle.

One was hit in the thigh, the other in the arm, both were taken to PRMC for treatment and released to the custody of their guardian.

On Tuesday, Police arrested 17-year-old Shaquan Wallace, at his home on Priscilla Street. He was charged as an adult, with reckless endangerment, minor in possession of firearm, wear/carry/transport handgun in vehicle. Wallace was released to the custody of Central Booking.

Police say the firearm has not been located as the time, and the investigation is on-going.
