$1.5 Million Set For Wicomico River Dredging

WICOMICO CO., Md. - The Consolidated Appropriations act, passed by congress this week will bring over a million dollars to dredge part of the Wicomico river.

Friday, US Senator Barbara Mikulski announced $1.5 million is set to be allocated for the Wicomico river to finish dredging near the Port of Salisbury, the second largest port in Maryland handling petroleum products and grain.

The bill now heads to the White House to be signed into law by President Barack Obama.
