EASTON, Md. - Easton Police say they arrested a woman for driving under the influence on Friday.
According to reports, officers responded to the Easton Wawa for a report of a drunk driver attempting to leave the area. Upon arrival, police say they saw a 2003 Ford Explorer in the process of leaving the area while the passenger was still hanging out the door.
Police say the vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Bertha Eunice Fuentes-Sierra, 41, of Salisbury, Maryland. Officers reportedly detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath, and she failed field sobriety tests that she was asked to accomplish.
Police say they placed Fuentes-Sierra under arrest, and she was later charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, reckless driving, and negligent driving. She was reportedly later released upon her accepting the citations. Police say her vehicle was towed out of the lot by TNT towing and the passenger was unharmed and released from the scene.
