Two Volunteer Firefighters Arrested For Rehoboth Arson Fire

REHOBOTH, Del. - The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says they arrested two teenage males last night for yesterday's arson in Rehoboth, Delaware.

According to reports, state fire investigators from the Office of the State Fire Marshal conducted the criminal investigation into an arson yesterday that occurred in the 500 block of South Drive in Tru Vale Acres.  Officials say the fire was intentionally started causing heavy fire damage to the unoccupied dwelling. 

Officials say the investigation has resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old male and 16-year-old male, both residing in Rehoboth, Delaware.  They were each reportedly charged with Arson in the 2nd degree, Burglary in the 3rd degree, and Conspiracy in the 2nd degree.  Officials say all charges are felonies, and they were committed to the Stevenson House in lieu of a $3,500 secured bond set for each defendant. The defendants were allegedly junior members of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company.

Officials say heavy fire damage was estimated at $10,000.  There were no reported injuries.
