EASTON, Md. - The Easton Police Department says they arrested a Cordova man yesterday for drug-related charges.

According to reports, officers were in the area of Ocean Gateway and Chapel Road when they saw a 2001 BMW passenger car operating with expired registration. Police say they conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and after issuing the driver, John Ingersoll, 40, of Cordova, a warning for the expired registration violation, they obtained consent to search the vehicle.

Police say during the search they located a suspected marijuana smoking device, and as a result of the findings, arrested Cordova. He was reportedly charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and was released on a criminal citation.
