MILFORD, Del. - Police have charged a Milford man in connection with multiple burglaries and thefts across two Delaware Counties.

Milford Police say on two instances, once on January 3rd, and again on January 10th, they arrested 26-year-old Xavier Rivera, who also goes by Xavier Rivera Rosado, in connection with burglaries and thefts from vehicles, and other related crimes, across the city limits in both Kent and Sussex counties. Rivera was arrested after an investigation lead to him as a suspect, because he was reportedly found to be selling stolen property to a local business.

Police say during the January 3rd arrest, Rivers had stolen property on him, and was linked to a home break-in on N. Walnut Street.

In total, Rivera was charged with 18 counts of 3rd degree burglary, 18 counts of theft under $1500, a felony count of theft under $1500 victim 62-years-old or older, 2nd degree burglary, 4 counts of receiving stolen property under $1500, and 4 counts of theft by false pretense. He is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on $80,000 cash bond.

Milford Police say they are continuing to investigate the vast amount of thefts from vehicles within city limits. They remind drivers to keep vehicle doors locked when no one is inside, and to not keep valuables inside. Police say it is always best to park in well lit areas, and report any suspicious activity or persons to them at 302-422-8081.
