GEORGETOWN, Del. - Repairs have been completed, after a water main break in Georgetown, that left residents without water on Thursday afternoon.
The Town of Georgetown says a leak in a 12 inch water main line, caused them to shut off the water for emergency repairs, around 1:00 PM. Included streets were: Park Avenue, all of the Meadows subdivision, South of Front Street, South Bedford Street, Lynch's Lane, and West Way.
Officials say all affected areas should see a return to normal water service within the next 30 to 45 minutes. Customers may notice some clouding or discoloration of the water as service is restored, but authorities say this is normal. Anyone experiencing issues with their water is asked to contact the Town Water Department after hour's number at (302) 236-2647.
