UPDATE: Authorities Identify Deceased In Morning Crash

Posted: Updated:

MILLSBORO, Del. - Norman Davis lost his life this morning, after his car collided with a propane tank in Millsboro. Delaware State Police responded to the area of John J. Williams Hwy, behind the American Legion Post, just after 7:30 Thursday morning.

Their investigation revealed that Davis' Crown Victoria left the roadway, crossing over an open field, before striking the 1,000 gallon tank. But authorities say the vehicle didn't stop there, traveling onward and hitting a residential fence and shed, before finally coming to a rest. The 91-year-old Millsboro man was wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is now underway to determine whether a medical emergency may have lead to the crash. We'll bring the very latest information as it becomes available.
