Two Celebrations To Be Held To Honor MLK Jr.

SALISBURY, Md. - A local group is hosting two celebrations honoring Martin Luther King Jr..

On Monday, January 20th at 8:30 AM until Noon, the 28th Annual Youth Activity will be held at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in the Midway Room by the Salisbury High School Association. The event will feature a free breakfast, with presentations by youth speakers and entertainment including youth praise dances and youth choirs. Free bus transportation will be provided. That same evening, in the Normandy Arena, starting at 6:30 PM, the 29th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration and Commemoration Banquet will take place. Tickets are $35, and tables can be reserved for ten people for $350. Tickets can be purchased from Lamech Lodge #30, 305 E. Isabella Street in Salisbury, MD.  Please contact Jesse T.
